I'm excited to be taking time this Sunday to gather to worship God, celebrate Jesus in communion and share a meal with you all. Alongside our usual, I'm really glad to have our first AGM straight after. Please look past my pastor-humour, "Annual God-led Meeting", to the heart for this gathering.
In Acts chapter 15 we find the Jerusalem church was figuring out how they would move forward despite the challenges that arose both around and within their midst. The phrase, "It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us", provides such a rich framework for Christians to still meet today.
We are blessed to follow a God who values not just thought, but wisdom! He created it. But we are not simply rational, truth-telling machines, but we have been gifted with God's Holy Spirit to guide and comfort us in all things.
As we meet this Sunday I'm asking that you help me create a culture that values gathering to hear from God and each other. We will be brief and on-topic, but we need God's Holy Spirit to ensure we are also led beyond our own wisdom.
Below is a basic agenda. If you are keen to have a voice, all are welcome to become members, but everyone is welcome to attend. We will have Q+A for each segment and also pray at key moments to ensure we are seeking the Holy Spirit's wisdom.

Join us at City Life Baptist (7 Gregson Place, Caloundra) from 4 pm for our monthly gathering for worship and communion!
This Sunday Aimee Hill is leading us in worship! We have some regular songs as well as two that some of us wouldn't have heard for a long time! It's our hope that we can give God the worship he deserves and that every one of us will taste some of his refreshment in our spirits.
