John 15:5 ‘If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.’
Hey all,
This Sunday we are going to trial gathering from 4 p.m. instead of 3! This will include our worship gathering on Sun Nov 5th at City Life. In starting later we are preparing for the heat, and crowds, about to descend upon us!

On Sunday we looked at Jesus' direction to, "Seek first the Kingdom of God". After our usual, "Come, Holy Spirit" prayer, a number of people brought God's encouragement to us. As part of that time, Aimee felt God encourage us with the picture below that illustrates how we can seek him above all others.
May we all be encouraged to fruitfully focus on Him.

I’ve been working in our veggie garden often lately, enjoying seeing growth and change each day, weeding and planting...perhaps that’s why I was picturing a garden, it’s in my everyday. I love how God speaks through our everyday.
I could see a veggie garden and my attention was on one large plant in the centre that had one large bud not yet opened, there was a space cleared around its base as it stood alone. I saw hands off to the side, busy, working on the rest of the garden, weeding and planting etc. but felt my attention drawn to the plant in the centre again and was reminded that fruitfulness will come from focusing on that one thing, not from being busy, spending energy and effort working on every other thing.
I was reminded that Jesus is the one thing that needs our attention and focus, of how He spoke about fruitfulness coming from Him:

QLD Baptist State Youth Camp - Jan 15th to 18th 2023
Registrations for next years SYC (State Youth Camp) close on Nov 5th so we encourage anyone with high schoolers to register ASAP. It's a fun-filled, God-focused, positive few nights for all attending.
Our youth will be camping this year, so if you have a tent that's suitable to share...let us know!
The theme is DISCIPLE and I know the guest speakers who pastor a similar-hearted church on the Gold Coast, Living Temple.
2022's camp had an incredibly positive impact on 30 of our Coastal Youth crew and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
