Below is a reflection on my invitation for our church to seek to open our lives to B.L.E.S.S. others. If you haven't heard about this yet, please click the link and learn the simplest way we can all share God's love with those around us!
We finish our series on B.L.E.S.S [Begin with Prayer, Listen, Eat, Serve, Share - read more], by looking at what we can share about God or our story as we are listening, easting and serving the loved ones around us.
While there is no "right answer" to what you can share with someone when they express interest in Jesus, there are some simple ways we can all prepare for these moments.
Below is a guided example of how to prepare to share how Jesus has transformed your life in 15-seconds. 15 seconds! What?! You may ask, "Why even bother with something so short?" The reality is, that if you're not used to sharing about Jesus you'll most likely be vague and long-winded. This exercise forces you to consider what your journey to Jesus really was like, and how you can communicate the difference he makes in simple, common language.
For those who are keen to learn how to share the message of Jesus in a simple, visual way, you may want to learn The Three Circles. Again, you don't have to do it exactly as per below, but it's a guide to help you find a simple, memorable way to share the greatest news anyone could ever hear!
Remember, at the end of the day, God will get your attention if there is something specific for to share. Despite the context (arrest and torture!), Jesus promises in Matthew 10:16-20 that God will give you the words to speak:
16 “Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves. 17But beware! For you will be handed over to the courts and will be flogged with whips in the synagogues. 18You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell the rulers and other unbelievers about me. 19When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time. 20For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Revival Prayer Meeting TONIGHT
Tonight (Tuesday 6th June) at LifePointe Baptist there is a combined prayer meeting for all QLD Baptist Churches in the region. I (Dan) am attending and would love you to join me if you're available!
The focus of the prayer is for REVIVAL in our churches, our state and our nation!
Prayer
As we shared last week, we want to be asking God to speak to us on a number of topics:
- Rhythms: how will we foster our simple rhythms (know, invite, gather)?
- Elders: how will we structure our long-term leadership and who will be on the team.
- Generosity: how would God have us become the generous individuals and church he's called us to.
- Future: how and where will we continue to gather.
Church Family Needs
- Praise God that Matt + Sophie's rental was approved! Thanks to all for praying!
- Pray for a meeting we have with a local organisation that may have a suitable venue for us.
