Ahoy Church,
This weekend we are heading to Maleny from 4pm - address and details below!
As you all know, our goal isn’t an “amazing church”, but “fully alive” people living out simple rhythms of faith in Jesus.
Lately, I’ve been so encouraged by some simple conversations in which these rhythms have come up.
Opening the Bible
I know so many of you are starting the year with some epic hunger for God’s Word - the Bible!
- Some are reading it all in a year.
- Some are focusing on the New Testament
- Some are reading along with the books on our monthly bookmark!
- Some are reading in paper Bibles, some on their phones and otherse (me!) listening to the Bible!
Aside from knowing that, statistically speaking, reading the Bible transforms every aspect of your life, I’m excited because the more we read, the more we have to share when we gather on Sundays (Just as we are instructed in 1 Corinthians 14)!
NOTE: If you read anything that impacts you midweek, please share it on Sunday!
Opening Homes + Lives
Some have casually mentioned they are intentionally carving out time in their schedules to have informally have people in their home.
Three couples have mentioned they are interested in starting formal groups who regularly meet in their homes.
Whether formal or informal, anytime we open our lives and/or homes to others it brings a significant shift and blessing in our spiritual life.
Opening our mouths
While some find it more natural to share on a Sunday than others, most of us have something that could be an encouragement to others. Even though I’m very used to speaking to crowds, I still get nervous when I’m sharing “my” story in Good or God at the beach.
However, whether it’s a scripture, a reflection or a prompting from the Holy Spirit, it could be that what you share unlocks faith and life within someone! As Lachie shared on Sunday, what Andy shared a few weeks ago was used by God to bring about huge spiritual and mental freedom in Christ!

There’s so much God is doing and will continue to do within our church in 2025. However, most of it God will choose to do through you and I. So let’s be courageous to continue to play our part in what God is doing in, through and around us!

Pray AGAINST Rain: With all the rain, Bob said the farm urgently needs to dry out. He requested we pray for dry weather to ensure the farm is suitable and accessible!
Time: Please aim to arrive by 4pm so we can start with communion at 430 - earlier than previous.
Food: Bring snacks to share, plan
